Nancy joined The Foundation for Living Beauty in 2016 after nearly three decades in nonprofit management. After graduating from the University of Redlands, Nancy started working in the corporate world, but quickly realized she had a passion for nonprofit work. She started her nonprofit career as the Executive Director of Escalon School, a nonpublic school for emotionally disturbed children in Altadena. Her next stop was as the E.D. for Friends of CASA Los Angeles, supporting the work of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers working with children in foster care.
After 12 years at the helm of CASA, Nancy left to start a nonprofit consulting firm so that she could spend more time focusing on the needs of her growing children. Eight years later, she has had the opportunity to work with a number of both large and small nonprofits, assisting them in fundraising, strategic planning, board development and event planning.
Nancy is excited to bring her nonprofit experience and passion to Living Beauty. “Helping people and empowering others to change their lives is what brings me joy,” Nancy said. “I am moved by the stories of the women at Living Beauty and by the dedication of the staff and volunteers.”
Nancy and her husband Jim have two grown children – Courtney and Chris.
Ariana began her work with the Foundation for Living Beauty after she and her mother volunteered at a wellness retreat. In awe of the organization’s mission and values, she decided that she wanted to be involved in this work. While simultaneously working for the founder’s beauty company, she began working on various volunteer projects for Living Beauty. Her volunteer work eventually grew into a position as Outreach Coordinator in 2012.
Ariana studied Finance at California State University, Los Angeles, and in her spare time, is a singer in a band. She is dedicated to being of service and very passionate about the work of Living Beauty. She is optimistic and looks forward to taking on new challenges as she continues her journey in the non-profit world.
Raised by vegetarian hippies who grew their own food and traveled in a VW bus, Indyra is no stranger to the holistic lifestyle. Her career interests have always been in the healing arts. She has studied and practiced as a doula, childbirth educator, massage therapist, elementary school counselor and now Integrated Healing practitioner. As Program Director for the Foundation for Living Beauty Indyra is able to help women find their own connection between mind, body and spiritual growth. She balances work with motherhood and her own practice, while making the time to explore her other interests in music, art and meditation. Indyra feels she is truly blessed, because she has the privilege of helping others thrive, while living a life of fulfillment and passion.
