About Living Beauty
The Foundation for Living Beauty aims to educate, uplift and empower women with cancer by providing them with opportunities to explore wellness and healing modalities while also developing a sense of community with other women along the same path.
What is a Living Beauty?
A Living Beauty is any woman who is on a cancer journey. She can be newly diagnosed and looking for answers and support. She can be in the treatment part of her journey and wanting to connect with a sisterhood that understands what she is going through. She can be post-treatment and still dealing with the physical and emotional tolls of cancer and is wondering, “What now?” If you are a woman on a cancer journey looking for support and resources, we invite you to connect with us.
About Our Programs
Wellness Retreats
Our signature programs, Wellness Retreats are 3-4 day journeys that transport our participants out of the everyday challenges of coping with cancer into a peaceful environment that provides them with opportunities to explore holistic healing modalities while developing a sense of community with other women along the same path.
Sisterhood & Community
Having the support of other women with cancer who have traveled the same journey, can be a powerful part of the healing process. Living Beauty is a loving and uplifting community of women. Through regular sisterhood events, Living Beauties can come together to share in each other’s concerns and experiences, providing support for one another on their cancer journeys.
Integrative Therapy Workshops
Education is a vital part of the holistic model we embody. Living Beauties are introduced to various healing modalities that beautifully complement their traditional treatment plans.
Resources and Support
We are proud to offer a variety of supportive services to our Living Beauties, including financial assistance through partnerships with other organizations and referrals to additional services through our resource site and library.
Living Beauty App
We are excited to share our mobile application for Living Beauties and women with cancer. Through this app, you’ll have the capability to sign-up for upcoming events, read blogs, find resources for your journey, and much more! We are especially excited to announce our favorite feature of this app which is the messaging and chat function! Through this feature, you’ll be able to search for other Living Beauties based on their city, name, or type of cancer. To download the app you can follow the links below or search “Living Beauty” in the Apple Store or Google Play Store. You will need to “Sign-up” and create an account in order to access the app. Please use the email address that you receive Living Beauty emails in order to sign up. Resources
Wellness Kits
We also provide free Wellness Kits to women during cancer treatment. Comprised of different products designed to help a woman feel more comfortable and cared for during treatment, our wellness Kits are a way for us to support women when they are going through arguably the most difficult and taxing time of their cancer journey. Financial Assistance
We have a financial needs fund called the Cassandra Fund. This fund grants up to $500 annually and you must be a registered Living Beauty to apply. Other ways we support financially are through grocery gift cards that we can send out throughout the year and through our Holiday Angels program where we match Living Beauties up with donors for the holidays.
