The Foundation for Living Beauty is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, activity and service-oriented organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of women living with cancer and cancer survivors. By offering innovative solutions to the challenges that women on their cancer journeys face daily, Living Beauty is able to realize its mission. All of our services are free for our Living Beauties and are located in California but open to women from all over the country.
“During my darkest days of cancer and chemo I barely felt alive and never felt beautiful. But this week has affirmed that I am living and am a beautiful me just as I am.”
— Traci Coffman
Our “signature” programs are Wellness Retreats. Wellness Retreats are 3-4 day journeys that transport our participants out of their everyday grind of coping with cancer into a peaceful environment where they are fully immersed in holistic lifestyle training. These empowering retreats encourage our participants to incorporate self-care, wellness and healing practices as they return to the obstacles of their daily lives. From our special healthy menus, co-education workshops and classes, as well as lifestyle consultations, every aspect of their stay on a retreat envelops Living Beauties with healthy and compassionate care. Additionally, Living Beauty provides an array of activities for our Living Beauties including yoga, guided meditation, art therapy, swimming, and nature walks. The four retreats we offer annually are:
SISTERHOOD SUPPORT EVENTS
Sisterhood Support Events are another way we respond to the needs of survivors. These programs give women an opportunity to share in each other’s concerns, celebrate milestones and fortify a sisterhood bond in their collective fight through cancer.
INTEGRATIVE THERAPY WORKSHOPS
Education is a vital part of the holistic model we embody. Living Beauties are introduced to various healing modalities that beautifully complement their traditional treatment plans.
We are proud to offer a variety of supportive services to our Living Beauties, including financial assistance through partnerships with other organizations and referrals to additional services through our resource site and library.
